I've been very poorly this last two months. I slipped on some wet decking outside a pub (I was totally sober) and I broke my arse. Yep, my coccyx has been done in and I am in quite a bit of pain. Eight 10mg of Sevredol with 2gms of Paracetamol and 120 mgs of codeine keeps it almost at bay but it still hurts like a hurty thing.

Doc says it'll be like it for quite some time too. Lovely. Have trouble sitting down, driving, lying on my left side, sleeping on my back etc. etc.

Someone was asking about using recordings made when speaking to or dealing with CAFCASS. Well, the law, you'll not be surprised, is funny about recording conversations. I have asked a legal friend of mine who said that to be admissible in the slightest, you'd have to advise the person you're taping that you were taping them.

That kind of defeats the purpose somewhat, but the way they see it is that as you know you're taping the conversation, then you're acting accordingly, so they should have the same benefit.

There's nothing to stop anyone recording a conversation and then uploading it to YouTube though. Nothing at all.

Hello dear followers. I'd like to welcome two new members to the blog. We've had a couple leave and that's probably my fault for not putting enough time into the blog.

Truth is, I'm really busy and although I promised the Gman I'd do my best, I have allowed it to slip a little and I have to apologise.

What news there is though, is that I myself have been having trouble with my little one's school. As a m ate of Ritchie's I know what he has gone through and when I split from my ex I kind of expected at least a little grief.

Along it came when his mum played her ace card, ie my lad, as she found out I'd had the audacity to get involved with another woman.

No matter I'd been split with her for eighteen months and she has boyfriends. Anyway, I asked for his school reports and I got the same answer as Ritchie did all those months ago.

I've written and complained and spoken to the school governors but from their reaction they'll sweep it under their carpet, the headteacher will carry on with her tricks and no one will be any the wiser.

I understand completely why Ritchie went off on one and decided to try his own case. I don't blame him for one minute and I really believe it will only be a matter of time before we hear about another one the same or similar.

Hello People. The interest in this case and this blog has, for some reason gone a bit bonkers this week. I know this because I have a tracking system on it and I can see that there have been different people taking a peek.

I can't see individuals, of course, but I can see the area they're looking from and they have changed somewhat over the last few weeks.

Ritchie would like to send his thanks and gratitude for all of your support during this trying time and he wishes it hadn't all had to happen this way but for those of you who have been following his story you'll know, and maybe understand why he went down the route he did.

He cannot, of course, profit from his crime and so all the money he makes from the film rights will be passed on to his son.

As I said, we're still in negotiations with the film company and I can't say too much at this stage but it is going in the right direction.

More when I know more.

New year looming

As the title suggests, a new year looming means all sorts of new promise. I for one, promise to try to be a worse person.

Now, you might find that hard to believe, that I can be worse, but I reckon I could. If I try really hard.

I'm going to be using the power of camera and video again and I'm going to be using a great production company to help me with my endeavours.

I did mention a while ago that a film company was showing interest in making Ritchie's story into a film. Well, the interest is growing and the reality is getting closer and closer.

There's a lot of bullshit involved with film companies and so I don't want to give too much away, save to say that it is moving, albeit slowly.

They're talking script treatments and first drafts and I don't understand all that. But Ritchie has plenty of time on his hands these days.

He does still get to see this, by the way, so if anyone wants to add a comment or say hello to him then please do.

I know he'd appreciate a note.

I spoke a while ago of a TV company showing interest in the story. Well, things have developed a little since then and there's a slight chink of light that the story may make it to the small screen, if not the big one. If you would like to see it then there is talk of auditions for the roles of the victims, which, let's face it, pretty much everyone in the clips can be seen as one kind of victim or another. As incredible as it may sound, there has been interest in this story from a production company to make it into a film.

Now, the details are sketchy so far but there have been letters sent through solicitors and there's a distinct possibility someone will be playing Ritchie Goodman in a film version of the crap that this blog has dealt with.

I know a guy from Fathers For Justice has had some documentary done about him but I'm not sure how it turned out.

If anyone knows can you let me know via this blog. It's amazing what you can get away with when you know how and have friends who don't mind passing messages.

Long time since

Been a while, I know. It's a little bit difficult at the moment and I'm getting grief from all quarters. I never thought other men who've been in my position would react to the clips in the way they have.

I've been accused of letting the side down. Setting the cause back years and generally behaving in an irresponsible manner. I've been banned from Facebook and YouTube even though there are worse clips than mine on there. Thanks to my American "friends" there, I think.

Am I missing something? Did I do something wrong in the first place to kick all this off? Nope. Did I leave my child without saying goodbye? Nope. Did I beat his mother so she was terrified of me? Nope.

I left to avoid an awful lot of bitterness and possessiveness and was immediately rewarded with a door closed on my relationship with my son.

So what is a man supposed to do when he's faced with bigotry and discrimination? There really is only one thing you can do.

That's take the law into your own hands and deal with a situation in the best way you feel you can. Let's face it, if we let the "system" carry on the way it is going, there will be lots and lots more cases than mine that WILL hit the headlines.

I understand that some people will let this disgusting law bring them to their knees. I am not one of those men.

I will use my brain and I will speak out when I am wronged. And when words don't make a difference, then my actions will speak. And they shall speak in a loud voice.

I have to pay a special thank you to the wonderful production company who have been editing all the clips.

Andy at No Ordinary family Limited, www.noordinaryfamily.co.uk has been a real rock to me in these hard times.

I know he's been through almost as much as I have and he's endured a large amount of pain in his quest for equal rights for mothers and fathers in this godfoprsaken mire of a legal system we use.

It is only when you're confronted with the issue you find out how disgusting it is and what a biased place it is we live in.

Hooray for people continuing with the struggle.

Which brings me to the many people who're following this blog.

I know some of you have been disappointed in the way things have gone and I know many of you have advised me not to go down the route of violence.

The reason I had to do this was because it was the only way I was going to get any decent coverage of the battle I was having.

And let's face it, at least I made some kind of headway. Didn't I?

I had a huge amount of support on my Facebook page and had many hundreds, if not thousands of people supporting the cause.

I got mail from as far away as South America, Canada, Australia and the good ole US of A.

Thanks to y'all for that.

But I lost a lot of it when I took matters into my own hands. The facebook videos hit thousands before they were pulled – without justification, if you ask me – but that's another story altogether.

I knew it would happen and I was prepared for a little backlash. Such is life.

And on I go, from day to day, having only my thoughts and the screams of cellmates to listen to.

Not easy but then, I never took the easy route. I can't just sit back and let things happen.

I'm a doer, not a dawdler.

I shall leave you with a poem I wrote when my son made a discovery.

I just read a comment left by someone anonymously.

Fine, if you don't want people to see you read a perfectly sane and normal person's blog. Now, that comment is just the kind of comment I'd expect from someone who's completely missing the point here.

So let me ask you/them a question.

How would you feel if someone took your child away from you?

How do you think you might react if, let's, for argument's sake, your mother-in-law decided one day she'd had enough of you looking after your own child and now she wasn't going to allow you to see him/her.

Ok, first reaction is you want to punch her face in and take back your child. And you'd be perfectly normal for feeling this way.

But you're not allowed to because that would make you a bad parent. It would make you look volatile. It would, in the eyes of the law, make you a criminal.

"But all I want is my child."

So you have to go to a lawyer and arrange a court date, which could be anything from two days to two months away and you sit there twiddling your thumbs while monster-in-law is filling your kid's head with how bad a mother you are.

And then, when you ask the law – the upstanding, moral and ethical law – to intervene and make sense of it they say "We have a system in place and you must abide by it."

So you do.

And she doesn't.

And this continues for month after month after month and court hearing after court hearing and you're still no closer (probably further as by now she knows she's above the law) and the same process happens again and again, you get the picture?

So now your only outlet is anger and vengeance. Voila! Fight Family Law is born.

And you have the nerve to poke fun. Watch your back, Mr/Ms anonymous. It could be you in court fighting to see your child next week/month/year. But it could so easily be you.

Since I last wrote I've had the most enormous amount of grief about "letting the side down" and "putting back the cause" etc. Well, fuck 'em all. If you watch them you'll see I have gone a bit "overboard" with the discussions but I am not prepared to go on being made a laughing stock of by anybody, least of all a couple of slags and a shitty judicial system.

You've seen the people I hold responsible for my predicament and you saw that I was going to try and have a face to face with them. Well, I did. And Jamie and I have made a little clip for you all to see. It's too long to download all in one go so I've chopped it into little segments which are more palatable.

I know I'm probably going to get a whole heap of shit for this but I don't care. I have been pushed to far. So, it is with a tinge of sadness I bid you all farewell but it's high time I got on my toes or I'll be feeling the hot breath of the law on my collar.

Thanks for all your support along the way and I hope I haven't disappointed too much. One last thing, the surnames are all changed as I kind of knew it would end like this and I knew I'd need time to get away from it all.

It's been a while since I did my last video diary one so here's a little bit more visual for your peepers to fast upon.

Right, it's high time something was done to stop this government backed charade called British Law. I'm sick to my back teeth with what's been going on and I'm not going to stand for it any longer. Jamie and I had a really good chat about how we may be able to move things forward and we've come to a decision. We're going to try some face to face talks. Not anything ridiculous, but we feel unless we can sit these people down and tell them exactly what we feel and how we are going to do things in the future then maybe, just maybe, they'll listen to what we've got to say. So, we'll be filming what we can of our "showdowns" and the end reslut (oops, Freudian spelling mistake there) will be here for all to see just as soon as I can get things organised. But that shouldn't be too long now. I'm also sticking tese video clips on other sites as I fear they may be removed at some point soon. Don't ask me why but it's just a feeling I get in my bone. First off, apologies for the slackness in updates. Trouble is, I always feel the same and I don't want to bore you with the same rant day after day.

Secondly, we would like to thank you all for your kind support and encouraging messages through Facebook and this blog.

It would seem Facebook is a really good way to get your cause or message over and I'd like to give particular thanks to a couple of people, Ale, Carolyn and Peter from the other side of the pond in the US (If you can get more of your peeps over there to empower the mouse (I'm going to trademark that slogan, by the way) and put their names down and – follow the blog – it would help).

I know the law over there is different to ours and I only hope we catch up some time soon.

So far there are 38 of us. There are more on our FB campaign and if you're one of them then please empower your mouse as soon as you can. I know it can be sometimes tricky and I have been on to Google about it.

Right, now on to the blog. I'm still no further forward and I feel like my head's being battered against the proverbial brick wall. I think I've tried every option open to me going through legal channels and here I am, still writing this blog and feeling even worse now than when I began it.

I thought it would act as some kind of therapy and I suppose it has in a way. Having all the good luck messages mean a lot to me. I know some of you guys are in even worse positions than myself and I grieve for you.

Why we put up with it I don't know. What's the alternative?

Well, I have been thinking about different alternatives and the implications each would entail. I obviously mustn't approach my ex as this would be deemed harassment. I could try a third party route but, come on, who wants to get involved in a mess like this?

I know if the boot was on the other foot I'd have reservations. Especially as most of my friends know my ex and how she works. They'd be up on harassment charges before they'd left her garden path.

Ok, other alternatives. This one I'll have to ponder a while more and I'd better not say too much on the subject. I'd be harassing her.

As the title suggests, I eventually made a breakthrough with the idiots at the Cafcass offices. I don't know what it is with these people but they seem to have fuck all better to do with their lives than interfere do their detriment with other people's.

I cannot understand how these brain dead morons can sit there and watch as a parent (mum or dad) waits to see his/her child in a shitty waiting room filled with dirty and broken toys in order that you can "play" for half an hour with your child.

Bear in mind that the gap between seeing each other is more than likely months apart and you'll understand why this kind of venue is not the most appropriate and is not conducive to a family get together.

Well,, there I was, waiting with baited breath for my son who was eventually brought to the shitty offices for our first half hour. No matter that his mum had brought him late. No matter that I'd driven for three quarters of an hour to get there. No matter.

Eventually, after being told I would be filmed playing with my son, he was let in to see me. His face showed apprehension. His manner was that of a child untrusting of his father.

"You OK?" I asked him.

"Mum says you've been bad and you don't want to see me." He said.

"It's not true, darling." was all I could think of. "Shall we not let what others say spoil this? Come on, the main thing is that I'm here now and that I love you, isn't it?"

"Yes, Dad."

And we started to play. First the Thunderbirds. I loved them when I was a kid so I knew where he was coming from. Then we did a bit of wrestling and it was going well until he punched me hard in the face. I mean really hard. As hard as he could.

I was shocked and stunned into sitting there and just looking at him. "What was that for?"

"You don't want to see me anymore, do you?" He stated. The visit ended soon after.

"A month?" I said unbelieving. "But you saw how he's been affected by not seeing me. He's resenting me already. You heard what he said about his mum telling him I didn't want him. Don't you think it would be better if it was tomorrow or a couple of day's time?"

"I think you should leave this to the experts, Mr Goodman." She said.

I won't go any further into the day because it kind of went downhill from there and I don't want to relive it any more than I have to. Suffice to say the cafcass officer told me in her opinion it should be another month before we meet again.

Ok, I know I promised another video diary yesterday where I said I would be making some great kind of announcement but I've been told by a solicitor friend of mine it wouldn't be worthwhile doing. Yet.

At some stage soon I shall definitely be posting some cracking clips which will turn heads and cause stirs but until there are more followers I don't think the message will get across to enough people. So, again, I'm asking those of you who do follow to get a stream – or whatever it is you get – to updates and to get as many others in either similar positions or who know others who are sympathetic to OUR cause to empower the mouse and follow the blog.

I can see there are more people tuning in but I do need you to click follow the blog. It will be worth it in the end. come on, folks, if we can get thousands of members on Facebook, surely we can do it here. This isn't only my blog, it's for every other guy/gal in the same position.

Hi again, folks. I've been trawling around and looking for blogs and groups similar to mine who I thought might be interested in following each other's cause and I couldn't believe how many there are. Hundreds of them, literally.

I've been in touch with a lot of them and tried to get us all to unite into one big heaving mass but so far it's not working. I don't know if it's got anything to do with the F4J movement which got just too powerful until the Sun got involved and crushed the life out of it.

I know there were personality clashes within the group and they had all kinds of different splits and we ended up with real F4J and the likes but I don't want to go running around in a costume (not deriding it for a minute here) as I don't think F4J were taken seriously enough after the stunts.

They made valid points and put across strong arguments for a change in the law but in the end were all but killed by the media.

They were seen as jokers when all they wanted was to see their kids and get a fair crack of the whip.

Well, I don't think that'll ever happen because at the moment it suits all parties to keep matters in court for as long as possible so they can earn more money out of the state or from a hard-working man's trouser pocket with legal aid and lawyers' fees.
Disgusting as it is it's true. And when I look at the news and see murderers getting away, quite literally, with it, it gives me no faith in our system whatsoever.

This is why I've come to a decision. I've stood by for long enough and watched guys killing themselves through harassment from the CSA, through depression over the loss of their children and through frustration over the way things are run in this country.

What I'm asking from you now is that you email the next few links I post to everyone you know. I guarantee they will be of interest to the point of newsworthyness on TV around the world.

Now, it's going to take a few days or so for me to sort everything out and get the i's dotted and the t's crossed (grammar, anyone?) but please, let as many people as you know into this and it will go worldwide and grab everyone's attention and then it will all have been worth it. Hit your Facebook, Twitter, Bebo and MySpace links and all the groups you're in and connect them with it. I promise you it will be worth it. We need this in as many countries as possible so please, all you guys from America, get on board, all you people from Holland who have followed, get on board. Get the rest involved.

Bad times for a change.

Here we are again and I've thought about writing what I'd like to do to the people who are making my life almost unlivable. I'm having trouble finding words and I know if I wrote what I really feel then I'd more than likely be taken "off air" or whatever it is "they" do when one begins ranting and feeling like doing away with others. I hear all the time about how people get away with murder and I feel this is what's happening to me. As hard as I try and as much as I want things to change and get better they don't.

On another note, I did get some response from my son's school yesterday which brightened up an otherwise dull morning. I wrote to the education secretary about how I was treated by the headmistress and they obviously gave the woman a severe bollocking and now they've "changed the way they use the system for single parents." Fucking great, but do you know what? When I asked the headmistress for an apology she said, and I quote: "I don't feel we have anything to apologise for."

Well, apart from not asking me if I had parental responsibility (I fucking hate that term) rather than relying on my ex's word, then no, she didn't. But because she wrote me a shitty letter telling me I had no rights and she wasn't divulging any information about MY son, then she fucking well should be apologising to me.

But no. And the incredible thing here, is if the shoe was on the other foot,if I had denied her access, the school would automatically assume she had PR as she is his mother. That's right, mums get PR automatically, dads don't! Can anyone tell me why this is? Because I've written to every political party leader and Labour say everything's fine as it is and they won't change anything, The Lib Dems are "looking into it" and only the tories say they will make changes, although they don't say how and where.

Fuck, I have paid thousands of pounds in tax and nat Insurance and I'm treated like a dog.I have to get out of this country. I hate it with a fucking passion when this can happen to men like me.

I know men in the army who have been left by their wives because "they spent too much time away," – presumably having a ball in Iraq and Afghanistan – yet after fighting on behalf of the British Government they are left without any right to see their children.

Can anyone tell me why this is?

Something's going to kick off big time, and soon. I can feel it in my bones.

You can even smile at your annoyance, sometimes. But now is when it becomes difficult. It's hard enough filming your feelings even, let alone sharing them with complete strangers. But here goes.

Ok, I got a message from a well wisher today and I've been advised to take off the video of my nipper reading. It's probably a good idea and so I've removed it. I can always have a peek when I feel the need although when I do it kind of tortures too. REally difficult. I thought back to when my lad was with me and I was doing a bit of brickwork o the wall and we was pottering around the garden in his wellies and he thought he's found a stone "growing". It inspired me to write a poem and if you'll forgive and indulge me, here goes.

“Dad! Dad!
Come and look what I’ve found.”
“What is it, Son?”
“It’s a stone, Dad, with leaves, growing in the ground.”
“A stone? Darling, stones don’t grow in the ground.”
“This one has, Dad. Come and see.”
I lean down and look at my boy’s discovery.
A smile breaks across my face and covers me.
“My darling, that’s a chestnut, my precious lad.
“Like the ones we have at Christmas, dad?”
“Exactly like that. But this one will grow.”
“What into dad? I want to know.”
“A tree my darling. It’ll grow into a tree.”
“And will it have nuts on it, Daddy?”
“Yes, son. It will. But we’ll have to wait and see.”
“Can I put it in a pot and watch it get big?”
“Of course you can. Come and help me dig.”
And he dug, my son, and planted it proudly.
Told everyone within earshot about his chestnut loudly.

The leaves sprouted strong, upright and green.
He took such care and was keen.

Then one day, my son was no longer here.
And I cried day after day, never ending tears.
I watered his chestnut and fed it well,
But for some reason it seemed to take ill.
Its leaves no longer strong and green,
The thing got as bad as I’d ever seen,
Until it died. Its roots brown and rotten.
As though memories were being forgotten.
And it stays in the pot from then to this day.
I can’t bring myself to throw it away.

You know how it is. You ask your friends, the people closest to you to give a little help and they kind of forget you. Now I'm nt asking for then to give me money. I'm not asking them to give me a lift with really heavy furniture. And I'm not even asking them to give me lift to the shops for anything. All I'm asking for is their support. I never thought it would be so difficult to get my friends, the people I thought I might be able to rely on even a little bit to get behind me and my cause and click a button.

Personally, I don't feel it's a great deal to ask for. I've given my mates a load of support before. Whether it was turning up for them when they have been feeling low, or going round to help them out when they thought there was some nutcase "after" them. I was there. And when a couple of them needed a car to carry some of their stuff to their new pad I was there.

Where are you guys when I need you? Where are you? I'm at a real fucking low point and you can't even be fucking bothered to click a fucking mouse and follow my blog and show me you're there at least in spirit. How do you think that makes me feel? It's all nice that you say to me, "Ritchie, don't worry, mate. I'm there for you." But when I ask something of you you're nowhere to be seen.

I'm not asking for a loan. I'm not asking for even a fucking shoulder to cry on, which, being honest, I could really fucking do with. Please, guys, if you can do anything, do this for me. Follow my blog and let me know you're there.

Had a call today from CAFCASS saying they want to arrange a meeting between my son and me for a weeks time. Superb, I hear you cry. But wait, there's a catch. I have to visit him for an hour (as long as it's going well) and it will be filmed so they can discuss whether or not I merit another visit. I am fucking dumbfounded at this. What have I done wrong? What have I done any differently to what I have been doing for the past two years?

This is sickening. I feel like I want to puke when I think about it. "Are you not happy about the arrangements, Mr Goodman?" Cerys asked.
'No, I'm perfectly happy," I replied. "To meeting my son in a welfare office with a total stranger there to mediate and see I don't rape anyone. I'm perfectly happy to be filmed being a father. Why wouldn't I be?"
"Mr Goodman, I don't think there's any need for sarcasm." Said Cerys.
"Don't you, Cerys?" I said. Do you really think I give a fuck about what you think?" I ventured. "Your feelings are the last thing I give a fuck about, Ms Jones. What gives you the fucking right to dictate when and where I should see my son? What have I done wrong?" I asked, perfectly within my rights to do so, I thought.
"Mr Goodman, I don't think this conversation is going very well. I'm only doing my job. here's no need to get aggressive."

Well, I think there's every reason to get aggressive. I want to kill.

Bit of a rant due to unbelievable manner at how I'm being treated by "the system". Don't know what else there is to say, really. Still pissed off about the way the ex is. Still pissed off about the way the law is. Still pissed off with how the CAFCASS can tell me the judge didn't know what he was doing. I wish there was something I could do that was a little more proactive. Someone suggested a baseball bat but, come on. I'm not there quite yet. I feel like it, obviously. But I don't want to spend a long time doing time for someone I have no time for. Doesn't seem right. Hang on, that sounds familiar!

Well, here I am, still no further forward and still no nearer to seeing my son. Forgive me if I'm a little bit under the weather but I don't feel much like doing anything at the moment. My head's down and my spirits are low. I've been in touch with a bunch of guys in a similar situation and their support is nice but it doesn't really do much for the way I feel. I know that if it was the other way round and that I'd held my boy over at my place she could have had me arrested for kidnapping. Makes me a little bit more than sick that she can do this to me with impunity. I'm in a horrible place at the moment. The other day I just wanted to go over to her place and watch to see if I could see my boy but I was warned (appropriately and sickeningly enough) that if she saw me she could have me lifted for harassment or at least it would look bad for my case when it comes to court AGAIN! I can't believe I still haven't seen him. I don't know how much more of this I can take as I am playing by the rules and it's getting me nowhere. I'm in the same position now as I was when Jill decided she'd take our weekends together away. I hate that woman. God, I hate that woman. Her mother interferes too. She's always there with a snide comment about something. They are bad apples from the same branch, those two. What annoys me also is the way I can't get through to the CAFCASS worker either, Cerys f***ing Jones. Every time I speak to her she has the same response: "I'm only doing my job, Mr Goodman. You'll have to wait like everyone else." I asked her the other day if there were any women in my position and there was a pause before she said: "I'm not at liberty to divulge that kind of information." I didn't ask for names and addresses, just whether or not there were any women in my situation.

Anyway, sorry for ranting. I''l post another film in a couple of days as Jamie's away for a short while. TTFN

This is shit. Here I am having played by all the rules and I'm still no nearer to seeing my son. I cannot get my head around the fact that everyone in that courtroom heard the judge say I should see my son and yet his "mother" sits there laughing in the face of the legal system because the social services, AKA CAFCASS, can't be bothered to get their act together. It's sickening, to be honest and I feel like there isn't a point in me carrying this battle on. But I know if I don't then my son will lose out. How do I tell him when he's older that I had to give in? I can't, can I? So I have to carry on. And it's breaking me, both financially and emotionally. Come on, England, sort this fucking law out. Please.

Well, folks, I'm just in and the good news is that the judge heard both sides this morning and he said he wanted me to see my son. He told Jill she was going about things the wrong way and that Cafcass (the welfare knobheads) they should organise a reunion as soon as possible as "this child has been apart from his father for too long as it is."

I got a letter today from my boy's school who told me I'm not allowed access to his reports and I cannot see him in class. The reason for this? His mum told them I don't have parental responsibility and they took her word for it without checking with me. What chance does a man have? On a better note, I'm in court tomorrow so wish me luck.

I spoke to a lawyer today and there's not a great deal I can do about the situation. I got the usual 20 minutes free and was told I'd get a breakdown of charges in the post in the next few days. Maybe they don't like telling you expensive news face to face. The lawyer said it could take up to six months for the case to get to court! Six months. I can't believe that in this day and age some nutcase with a vengeance is allowed to do something like this. It's kidnap, pure and simple. It annoys me so much I can hardly put it into words. Imagine how you'd feel if someone took your child away. What would you want to do to them? How would you treat them? And how would you feel if the police and the legal service said you couldn't do anything about it?

I am furious.
